This is supposed to be a more 'mature' version of He-Man....here are some details about the characters:
"My He-Man universe is darker and far more deadly. It's a modern take on it, with a lot of violence and evil going on... Skeletor has devastated Eternia, killed off the royal family and demasked He-Man in public. Prince Adam is no more. The heroes are forced to flee to Grayskull and hide in there. The whole world is under siege by Skeletors armies..."
He-man, the Fallen
Of all heroes He-man needed a serious face-lifting. Back in the 80's he might have been cool, but his design lacked everything that is cool today. I chose to make him more of an anti-hero, a broken king or a better brigand. I still went with his barbaric heritage but chose to give him a more Kurt Cobain like haircut, underlining his fate. I still wanted him to be readable as He-Man, so my changes on the design were minimal.
Skeletor, Lord of Darkness
Well, we all loved Skeletor I guess. I did. He was my chilidish personification of everything that was evil and cool. But I always felt that he was too ripped and too bodybuilder like to be really impressive. I chose to make him a lot darker then his previous designs were. A cruel fag, that eats your heart from afar. The boogeyman of Eternia. The Marilyn Manson of Snake Mountain. I kicked some of his cheesy stuff like his sword and reduced his gear to his havok-staff, which was always cooler anyhow.
Tri-Klops, the Seer
I loved Tri-Klops. But I never felt his warrior image fitted him well. The three eyes alone granted him enough mysticism already. Instead of having him shoot Ice-beams with his eyes, they now function as a window into the past, the present and the future. He is now Skeletor's seer, prophet and advisor. An Enigma among the forces of evil and much less of that stupid warrior he was in the 80's
Man-at-Arms, the last Soldier
Oh dude, he was the coolest. Even back in the 80's this guy ruled above all. His design is timeless, and I bet people will still think he's cool even when He-man is already forgotten. My changes have been minimal. Just a few things here and there, to add to the already beautiful corpus. You can really imagine him to be the last soldier. A man from the past. Someone who knows the secrets of weapons and science.
Merman, King of the Sea
Merman rocked! But one needed to get rid of his fisheyes and clumsy appearance. I chose to make him look more alien and give him more armor and a king-like posture. He always was arrogant and want's to be the ruler of Eternia by himself, not a slave under Skeletor. Thus he is a double-edged sword, betraying his master where he can and pursuing his own plans for domination.
Evil-Lyn, the Soulless
Evil-Lyn wanted Power from Skeletor and offered everything to her lord, even her soul. Skeletor raped her into pieces and sucked her soul out, sewing her lifeless body together afterwards and breathing foul life back into her. She is now his vessel but commands a lot of the greater powers that Skeletor bestowed upon her for offering her soul to him.
Buzz-Off, Lord of Wasps
Oh, c'mon guys? What? A humaniod Wasp-Warrior? As if wasps weren't alien enough, wtf would a 7 feet humanoid wasp fucking look like? Well, I went completly over the top with Buzz-Off. I wanted him to have a totally alien anatomy and design, so I took a long look into Andrew's creature designs and went on from there. I hope he appears in a new fashion now, something better then his stupid 80's version.
Beast-Man, Master of Creatures
Never liked Beast-Man. He was a dull character. I wanted to give him a spin in his redesign, giving him more shamanistic origins and the power to control the ghosts of his ancestors in an animistic fashion as well as the creatures of the field. He is also Whiplash's domitor, the only one who can control the rampaging monster at least mentally.
Fisto, the Mercenary
Gosh, Fisto was gay! Remember that shitty haircut and the purple armor? Yuck! Damn, I had to give him more depth somehow. I chose to make his origins more nordic and made him a mercenary and bounty hunter. He was out to kill the Whiplash, which was running amok in a nearby town. But Fisto failed. The monster bit his hands off and left the Hunter bleeding to death. Fisto was found on time by Man-at-Arms, who gave him aid and took him back to Eternia. Later he built a pair of mechanical Gloves for Fisto which he can use for the most rudimentary tasks. Like punching the shit out of his enemies. The grumpy Fisto joined the Legion of He-Man only because of his search for revenge. And to kill the Whiplash.
Trap-Jaw, the Warmachine
Man Trap-Jaw was the killershit. I loved everything about him, except for the fact that I always felt he was not dull enough. He reminded me of stories like Frankenstein always, or even more of a wicked World War 1 experiment gone wrong. In my version, I chose to make him a good guy who was snatched by Skeletors forces and tortured to death. Afterwards Skeletor and his henchmen reinvigorated him with arcane magic and science, making him a mindless Warmachine with no memories of his past. Brainwashed and powerful, he now leads Skeletors forces and smashes foes wherever his master sends him. Only in his dreams, he remembers the time when he was alive and somebody else
Man-E-Faces
What can I say? I never liked that dude. I thought about his headgear and came to the conclusion that in my version it should be a device that keeps the mental functions of the former Man-E-Faces alive and saved inside the harddrive of this headgear. In fact Man-E-Faces is only the device. The body and heads are rotting corpses, animated by the machine. The headgear fuels itself by sucking the life out of it's hostbody and deleting it when it is dead. The device seeks out new victims everytime the hostbody is sucked out. Thus Man-E-Faces can survive and stay intact.
Clawful, the Vivisectionist
Clawful loves nothing more then slicing the flesh from his enemies, makine cloth out of their skins or tapestries for Snake Mountain. He is wicked and crazy, not even Merman, his former master feels well being near his loyal follower Clawful. But Clawful is needed. He works as a Torturer and squeezes information out of everyone with his sharp claws.
Whiplash, primal Predator
I made Whiplash an uncontrolable beast, cunning and animalistic, with an intelligence and anatomy perfectly suited to hunt and kill. The Whiplash is mindless when under Beast-Man's control, but when it is unleashed, it is unstopable
Zodak, the Time Traveller
If he wasnt the coolest character I dunno!
Orko
Former Magician of King Randor who was killed by Skeletor and whose soul was banished to the Orkus, the place of Nowhere. With efforts of his will the magician struggled to break free from his vault and returned to Eternia as a Wraith. A ghost of vengeance. He named himself Orko, has an invisible body and can only be seen while wearing his cape and hat. Old relics of his former life
Teela
Teela lost her faith in He-Man after he was demasked by Skeletor in public. She saw it as a treachery from Prince Adam never to tell her about his life as He-Man. Their friendship ended. She is only fighting in He-Man's Legion because of her father Man-at-Arms.
Stratos
I would have loved to give him a shot but somply didn't have time in the end. I'm sorry to dissapoint you, I know you whoud have loved to see him in action.
