60K... Holy shit, this is massive. Is there a place I can donate some cash for disaster relief or something?

I can't believe how the death toll keeps rising and rising. Where will it end? How many lives were shattered...nature is beautiful, but it can be such a heartless beast sometimes.

Unfortunately, I think that it will reach 100,000 in the end, especially due to the epidemic outbreaks.

I heard there could be many many many more in Myanmar

But they wont let in any help or anyone in to even assess what is going on there

There is a place in north Indonesia with over 1 million people..... Nobody has heard a word from any of them and they cant get there yet

The death toll is going to go throught the roof.... In we will never really know

How horrible! I'm sure in a few more days the death toll will be just staggering as it seems to almost double every day. My heart goes out to all the people that lost family members over there. It's a very, very sad thing.

Much of the damage is still not known and hell knows what the extent will be. Even the part that is known is.... substantial... and forgetting any material damage, the effects on people are going to be massive.

Many have lost their families and watching human remains being dumped in mass graves. That stuff stays with you, especially if it's your kids, husband/wife/mother being bulldozed into a grave.

Gosh damit, it just keeps on increasing. :(

Hard to imagine something like that. I grew up in the praries, no earthquakes, no hurricanes, etc just good old snow and lots of it.
