An amusement park ride beat the hell out of us yesterday !

There is some outdoor festival happening these days here in Costa Rica, so I went last night with my gf and few friends.

We went on one ride that is worse than astronaut training! It beat the hell outta me heh...

First, walking up to it, you have a giant sign saying 'We are not responsible for any injuries that happen on this ride. Ride at your own risk.'

To describe the ride, it's like a circular bench that holds about 30-40 people. No straps, no belts, nothing holding you down. It then proceeds to spin and sway on its' axis, REALLY FAST AND REALLY HARD.

One women went flying off it crashing into the floor in the middle. We all barely hung on, flying off the bench and smashing back into it. It lasts about 3-4 minutes, no rest period.

We came off beat up and sweating like everyone else that rode it.

Best $1.25 I ever spent, can't wait to do it again tonight!!!

Luckily I was sober enough, doing that thing drunk would be nuts.

I used to go on those when I was young. Pretty fun.

There's a ride at Epcot similar to that now that fucks with your brain but your locked in and sitting down) (Mission:Space)

That's sounds kinda like the gravitron...remember than thing? I was like a huge barrell and you had to strap yourself to the outer wall until it was spinning fast enough that the centrifugal (yeah i know i butchered that spelling, but you know what i mean) force was strong enough to keep you on the wall. I've seen so many people puke after that ride, lol, it was great. And the zipper, too, that's an oldie but goodie, lol.

Sounds like the "Gravitron".

The only ride to ever make me sick.

Yeah I'm a huge amusement park fan, but this was soemthing I never seen before. Just the fact they actually say 'ride at your own risk' is a bit new hehe..

I'll try to take poictures of it tonight, that way you guys can really see what I mean. It's not like those old rides that hold you in with gravity....

The problem with this one is gravity DOESN'T hold you in it.....you have to grab whatever you can (the backs of the seats, unless you're beside a door and can hold the edge).
