I use Final Cut Pro that has a tool in it to capture high quality screen shots and converts to Jpeg, etc.... It is only on Mac though.

Yes but it doesn't capture what is playing on the screen at the time does it? If so, that's news to me. I get a black screen everytime. It pastes an image of the player just fine. But not a screen cap.

Turn down your hardware acceleration and bingo picture appears.

Well I'll be damned. lol...learn something new every day. Thanks Alex. I had it turned up all the way. I had just figured it wasn't possible in windows without a special program.

Disabling hardware acceleration results in much smoother recordings since fewer system resources are used when hardware acceleration is disabled. Disabling hardware acceleration is also required to record videos from a media player such as Windows Media player, RealPlayer or QuickTime. Otherwise a blank screen will be recorded. However some applications like games may not work when hardware acceleration is turned off.
