Its cold. The cost of living is 10 times higher than in some places in the US.

HOWEVER! their president is not BUSH.

<---- Moving to Canada.

Ha just kidding, I am in Mexico.

pornguy 12-27-2004 11:32 PM

By the way, In Mexico Bush is not the president either, and the cost of living is half of what it is in the states.

Just don't drink the water...

Spunky 12-27-2004 11:35 PM

It's funny how some people keep falling into the same stereotype of Canada being colder than the states...I live in Vancouver and it was sunny but cool...a hell of a lot better than New York with 4 feet of snow...keep thinking inside your box...I love it here and would never want to live anywhere else

What makes it better than the US ? You do know there are many different climates available in the US dont ya ?

Pornwolf 12-27-2004 11:46 PM

I don't see no stinkin 4 feet of snow mang.

Canada has hot, non materialistic and extrodinarily easy women.

Canada Does not have LA, NY & most importantly Miami.

Oh well. :ugone2far

I'm not saying it is better...I'm stating the fact most Americans think we live in Igloos and live in the bush...Try visiting before you judge...frankly I don't care what peoples opinion is of Canada..If you are happy where you are ,who fucking cares..

A slight exageration on my part...where's these easy women you speak of cause I need some.....no we don't have the population compared to some of the bigger cities but more people = more problems...It's cool people are patriotic but don't slam another country that you have no knowledge of is all I'm saying

Vancouver is an awesome city. I highly recommend it. If I wanted to move to Canada that's where I'd aim for but I wouldn't leave because of political reasons. That would be giving up on changing the U.S. and we need everyone one we can get right now. But if the American laws changed against the Adult Internet we?d all be looking to move our businesses.

hyper 12-28-2004 12:08 AM

What do you mean "no knowledge of?" I've spent so much time in Canada and in Canadians I'm really surprised I don't have kids in Windsor, Montreal and Toronto. :arcadefre

I would move to Vancouver if I had to move. Definitely have thought about it but Im too used to my surroundings.

forward 12-28-2004 12:50 AM

i have a lot of friends in canada and i've stayed up there for extended periods of time. honestly if you don't pay attention to the currency and the "eh"'s, it's hard to tell the difference. I've stayed in Kelowna and Vancouver mostly, both great places.

Vancouver's weather pretty much mirror's that of Seattle, so it's not extraordinarily cold. Kelowna on the other hand is cold as fuck in the winter and hot as hell in the summer. Personally I like Seattle cuz it's like living in Gotham. A lot of overcast days and moderate weather.

The taxes in Canada suck major ass but they are friendly to small businesses. I would probably pick Victoria if I were to move there.

My question is why would you consider Canada over South America (meaning not mexico for you uneducated folk). Costa Rica is amazing and dirt ass cheap.

because Canada rocks...you pretty much nailed it...yup, Kelowna does have Scorps and rattlesnakes in some parts, its true...literally... but....Vancouver is a city you can have unlimited fun in if your not a total clown.

I live on an island west of Vancouver (that's west coast for those not 'in the know') and on Christmas day I looked out at a gorgeous ocean view, at flowers in my outdoor flower pots, and put on a light sweater to visit my family. I don't live in an igloo, I don't speak french, and it's not so cold at all...Are all Californians surfer dudes? All southerners racist? Please......

Webby 12-28-2004 01:35 AM

Everywhere has it's good and bad... tho it's damned cold up there! :-)

Just forget all that and move to someplace like Costa Rica instead!!

The living quality is 20 fold better, good weather, don't pay any taxes (for webmaster stuff), healthcare system is constantly ranked on par with the US, tho costs nothing like it.

The downside is.. it's OK for Canadian folks, but the US IRS will still chase US people for some money. (Tho they have some allowances for living abroad).

Ah :-) Missed your post! You said it and the reason we are based here.. among other things...

Tho Costa Rica is not "cheap" by the standards of some places - tho massively cheap in comparison with "organized countries". Basically it's lifestyle and quality living that got me here, - tho no taxes help as well :-)
