Just as the name implies, it's made from the "scraps" left over from mechanical pork processing. If you're raised on it...you don't mind it. I love the stuff and can eat it like crazy. Basically it's the lips and assholes that don't make it to be hotdog grade. :)

It's all relative though. Just like grits. You like grits...right Joe?

Well, anyone talking shit is just plain ignorant. Bottom line, think about spam, sausage, or any other meat product where they combine lots of meat to create the finished product.

I grew up in the tri-state area and grew up on scrapple. It's fucking delicious. Brown it up till it gets a nice little crust on the outside, with a plate of eggs....you can't go wrong.

I'll be honest....I can't see anyone who eats meat not loving fucking scrapple if you ever had it. If you ever drive through Jersey, stop at a diner and get some with a few eggs and thank me later.

Maryland does it up pretty well too. I was raised on it here in Virginia but my people are mountain folk. (cue up Dueling Banjos music..)

I love scrapple! I never, EVER read the ingredients and I'm NOT clicking that recipe link. lol

I was born & raised in south central PA, big Pennsylvania Dutch area and had scrapple for breakfast many times. It's awesome with apple butter smeared on top. Yummy!

Damn, now I've got the urge for some and I was just back home this weekend. Shoulda bought some.

You don't know what you're missing. And I'm not the type of person to eat gross type shit...I can't even eat balogna raw. But if you pan fry bologna or some scrapple in some bacon fat and let it get crispy.....UMMMM UMMMM.
