Anyone have experience with starting a surfer forum?

Looking to retain some assistance...

You're better off doing a niche-type surfer forum.

Easier to obtain traffic and keep it.

I played with the thought of starting a surfer board.
I got some experience with boards. I even could help as a mod etc.

i run a surfer forum. they post diff pics and such, 10,000 members registered, 3000-4000 always active

a surfer forum has endless posibilities, but you need to work hard at providing material to keep them.

lots of active people.. how many of them become members? what is it called?

make a big boobs forum, some of the biggest forums in that niche just closed its doors.

I have a large one but it's portuguese.

why did they close? thats interesting if they are big why would they close.

I am still at the point where i am finalizing the banner placements and determining the amount if any of fake posts to start the forum with etc...

Not really niche focused more of a place for BS'in...

The other thing i am confused about is determining what keywords or type of keywords i should optimize on...

translation: we are making more money with simple banners, fucking experienced surfers, go away...
that was a hell of a freeporn source, many members area stuff at ezshare or prohosting...

and they'll post stolen content
and they'll hotlink
and they'll post illegal shit
and they'll spam their sites 24/7
and you'll try to ban their IPs and domains, but they have many domains and they know how to use proxies

and then once you got your own members posting stolen shit, count on GFY to get the site DDOS'd, shut down, etc
