How to take pictures of .wmv files

Hello,

Ive been trying for this morning how to take a picture of a .wmv movie file. Ive tried:

program: psp 9, 6, and 5,
processes I've tried: capture screen using psp, and print screen/ctrl+v

also tried adobe 5.5 using print screen

None of these methods are allowing me to take a picture of a movie file on my computer, does anyone have another method or program I can try/use.

To take a picture of a .wmv file just play it, point your camera to the screen and shoot

this program does a good job of grabbing pics from avi, mpeg, asf, and wmv videos.

Snatch It

Or you can open Windows Media Player, go to
Tools -> Options -> Performance
and set "hardware acceleration" to None and click "OK"

Or the camera always seems to work.

This is probably the most asked question ever on gfy.

Anyway, turn hardware acceleration off and the use print screen.

1. Open Windows Media Player

2. Click "Tools" > "Options"

3. Click "Performance" tab

4. Turn down "Video Acceleration" to "None"

5. Click "OK"

6. Close Windows Media Player

7. Reopen the movie you want to screencap

8. PrintScreen function will now work

To use the "print screen" method you need to set your "hardware acceleration" to 0
