I like Rage and Korn, too, and I think that, given the time to grow as they did, LP has that kind of potential.

pop music lacks in originality and more importantly feeling. if you want to hear a good album that came out recently check out The Arcade Fire.

I compared Linkin Park to a piece of corn taken out of a piece of shit. Linkin Park is nowhere on the level of those two bands.

Converge is Pollished. Unpollished is minor threat and the like. That converge song you posted is HIGHLY pollished I can hear the layers going on. Not to mention the fuckign TRIPPLE LAYERED VOCALS in the chorus that any idiot can hear. God knows how many times they had to "pollish" by redoing a riff that was fucked up. Studio time costs money and I don't give a fuck who the producer is. When you cut a track you "pollish" it as much as you can no matter what fucking genre you are.

huh..I never converge were doing one-take recording, no editing at all LOL...I'm talking about the sound....between converge and linkinpark one of the two sounds more "polished" than the other...one have a more "raw".."brutal" sound...pretty easy to see which one is which!....
one is fucking raw punk/hardcore and the other one is a pop mall-metal band...totally different sound....I don't care about the work they did in the studio...

The second part was simply becasue you gave what I feel is a cheesy invalid reason to dislike a band. I used to work my ass off helping people "pollish" their music so I take offence when someone says I don't like a band becasue it sounds too pollished. Then posts a track that has obviously had a lot of studio work done on it.

nah really, I don't like Linkin Park because I don't like that sound/genre at all....I do like a lot of smooth bands...The strokes for example is one of my favorite band right now..., but bands like linkin park, stained etc.. I just can't stand'em....
It's really not that I don't appreciate a band working on their album! I like when an album sounds good...but when you try to make "heavy" or "bad" music...I like a sound that is more dirty LOL....that's why I said I tought linkin park sound is too polished....I mean..I like a lot of metal bands and I know they spend a lot of time "polishing" their album in studios....but the resulting sound isn't as gay as linkin park....
