Thats called survival. lol. I think thats what rap has come to. I really dont think there will ever be someone like Jay-Z again, someone who will consistanly remain at the top dropping an album every year (or 8 months for that matter) for as long as jay did. Too many crash and burns like Ja Rule. I think eminem has a problem with finding writting material, stuff to talk about, etc. All of his songs cover the same three topics.

Back when his first album came out we went to Maui for the first time. We played it everyday, all day in the rental convertible. Needless to say, I've got some damn good memories of that album.

Huge fan now. When he first came out, I remember saying that he was gonna be just another one hit wonder. Boy, was I wrong.

I'm not a big rap/ hiphop fan but there are certian artists I like and he is among them. He has a lot of talent.

I can't say I'm a huge fan simply because I'm really not into rap...but there have been several things of his i have really enjoyed. He is amusing

he's good at writing rhymes.. but his music sucks ass, and the beats are horrible

I brushed him off as a one hit wonder too when I saw his first song. I like the song but I thought he would be just a novelty. Instead, he has about three great albums to his credit.

I don't care much for his newer material. I think he's run out of ideas. It happens to all artists after awhile.

wow....mostly all positive imput...i thought it was only me seeing a white boy rap so well....i have to say he is better than my o.g. brothas....i grew up in Hollywood half my life and grew up with some rappers , you'd be surprising how much talent there is out there and not discovered....

I like Em, I love his wit, and I have a few of his albums, I can recite a few of his songs. However - HOWEVER - I wouldn't call his work "music". "Music" is CCR, Otis Redding, ACDC, etc.

Rap (good rap) is wit and lyrical content over computer generated beats and noises, not music.

Not to pick on you, MB, it just struck me as funny and I figured i'd throw a few pennies out there.
