you go to hell if you're evil in life and if you sin, and you are punished to pay for your sins. if you're good, and you don't sin you go to heaven.

If you're evil and the devil is evil, when you go to hell, he should be encouraging you to be evil and rewarding you for fucking up the world. Why would you be punished in hell for contributing to the evil in the world? Therefore, being evil and going to hell is the same as being good and going to heaven.

Other funny things about hell. According to traditional Catholic beliefs you are supposed to view hell on your way to heaven so that you can see those people suffering. If you are a good person how could you view another person suffering and still go to heaven? If you enjoy seeing these people suffering doesn't that make you just as bad as they had been? And for that matter what about the biblical principal that states the wages of sin is death and all sin is forgeiven upon your death as each person is judged upon their life? How can anyone be so evil that they could deserve an eternity of suffering (an eye for an eye, a tooth for a totth....) especially when they paid for their sins by dieing just as Christ did for all people (if you believe that).
