Is this a good price?
 

I have been offered a banner space on top of the main page of a site that gets 60k-80k a day from which 80$ is from search engines.

For a banner right at the top of th page i have been offered $50 a day or $900 a month. Is this a good deal?

It's very difficult to tell. There are simply too many unknown variables. You have to base it's value on what you can get out of it.

Subject matter, type of hits, style of site, layout of page, banner quality, conversion rate, server speed, and many more things play into this equation. That's why you notice that most programs listed year go by actual sales as opposed to impressions of banners :-)

If they want a month commitment I'd say they are pulling the wool over your eyes, unless I knew who it was.
