I know I am. I hate Christmas.

It's the only time of year I really miss having an significant other.

why do you hate it so much? I too used to fucking hate it. Christmas has been nothing but a let down since I was 10 (living with a skitzo mother does that) but this year it was important to me because of my son being around this time.

im not very close to my family, but i couldnt think of Christmas without seeing my mother...

My sister, Parents, and Grandmother all live within 2 miles of me.

I hate my Grandmother and the others I can see any time I want. A fake holiday should be no excuse for family.

i live like 2km away from my mother house, she lives with my younger brother. I have never been raised by my mother (have been raised by my father since the age of 4yo) and i never lived at all with my brother. I must see them 4-5 times a year... Xmas is the only time of the year i take some times for them, but i know they are happy to see me and im happy to see them. So its the only reason for me to like a little Xmas, just give me a break of the routine and some time to pass with my family

Easily. Xmas never meant shit to me growing up, and not much has changed since then.

I get my kids something, and occasionally will get something for a special person in my life, but I could do quite well without it.

The only thing I like are the funny xmas songs that pop up

Tell that to little Susie when she does not get that barbie car that she wanted because you refuse to buy into the corporate greed part. Then see how unhappy she is at the jolly fat man who left her with a home made sweater that does not fit, has 3 arms, and no hole for her head to pop through....Plus it itches like crazy.

i like x-mas, usually get to see some family I don't get to see that often and the past few years it hasn't been that bad.

To hell with shitty home-made sweaters, ties and other bs for guys.. now that's when fantasy comes in... I feel sorry for little Suzy and parents who are in a hurry always and feel they must buy the same stereotype to their kids so they all look and feel like sheep, happy sheep well hidden in their uniforms and toys which lacks any originality. Fantasy is the name of the game and creativiy imo...

and you can't give the excuse "but it's seen most evident during christmas". get a girlfriend, and not just some fuck buddy - and you might find the happiness and joyment of christmas is experienced when you have someone close to you (relatives don't count, not when you're past the age of 18).
