A question for married people...

Did you and your spouse discuss marriage before a proposal actually took place?

My wife and I decided after 2 days that we were meant for each other and we were getting married. I don't even know if there was a proposal. I think it was just like a mutual agreement. Been together going on 11 years now. Funny how shit works sometimes...

Just a little bit...then I didn't really propose to her. I told her she was going to marry me. 6 months later, she did!

No, it just seemed right and we got married with in a few days. We knew each other for a while and dated on and off before.

That's lucking out. What if she turned out to be a clingy psycho, or some other such disaster? My wife and I were together for almost 3 years before we did the deed and I still think we should have waited.

So did you actually marry her or are you just still in a mutual agreement?

Divorced now, thank god. But back then before I got married, we kinda hinted and joked about it a lot, so we pretty much both knew it was gonna happen. The only surprise was that she proposed to me.

i've been married once, took 5 years of living together and finally at a low point in my life after my grandad died I married her

was the worse mistake of my life but at the time seemed like the right thing to do

the one i'm with now I'm scared to ask and make the same mistake again

I'm going to try and ride this one out as long as i can before i sign on the dotted line, even with a pre nump.

My wife and I moved in together after 2 months.

After almost 5 years, we thought "We already act like we are married, so why not go and do it"

So we went to Vegas and got married.

Now, 5 years after that, we are about to have our first little one.
