Merry Christmas! My entire family has a vomiting virus!

What are the odds, lol? My mom and dad are both sick as dogs, puking every 30 mins, along with my grandmother, one of my aunts, and her step-daughter.

My mom and dad are the ones who have the whole Christmas shindig at their house tonight... so basically Christmas is canceled! :1orglaugh What shitty luck we have. My mom has a raw turkey stuffed and ready to go in the oven and she's so sick she can't even get up to take it to the fridge out in the storage room (only place it will fit).

Plus, during the five minutes after she pukes and feels a little better, she keeps calling me crying because she thinks she's ruining my Christmas, lol. I feel really bad that everyone is so sick... but a secret part of me almost feels relieved that I don't have to deal with the chaos today and tonight. That's so wrong and scrooge-like, though. :smilie_we

Hahaha is it bad that it made me laugh?

sickkittens 12-24-2004 01:30 PM

Sorry to hear. Is it a bug or did they all eat something bad?

Well, it reminds me of this fishing trip in Thailand. Old wooden boat. After 30 mins on sea, out of 12 people 10 were throwing up, including me. As sick as i was it was also hilarious at the same time to see and hear all those people puking their gut out.

You and your family are all bonded together by the spirit of Christmas vomit. :repuke

Nah, it's not food. It's a stomach virus. They were all together Wednesday night at another Christmas party and one of the kids there had it. He started throwing up before the party was over and had to be taken home. Apparently, he passed it on to several people there. I had plans with a friend so luckily I missed it. :xmas-smil

I really don't know what to do with myself. It's kinda nice being able to relax and just kick back. :)

I worked in a dive shop in college and was an asst. instructor. We would take big trips 3 times a year down to the Keys and stay for 4 or 5 days. We'd take the students who were getting certified and they'd do all their open water dives, deep water, night dives, etc. There were always various business men and people from the community who were already certified that would go, as well.

It was a non-stop puke fest the whole time, lol. Two guys in particular would barf EVERY single time we left bay. I never could understand why they kept going back again on all our trips, but they did. And they always puked. Sometimes right into their regulators. :repuke

*Are the smilies fucked up or something? I clicked on the smiley with the santa hat in my last post and instead it's showing that retarded snowman.*

We don't have Casinos here, lol. My uncle usually slips away from our thing around 11:00 pm to go to this bar/lounge place every year. They have a big party on Christmas Eve and everyone from our area kinda does the same. It's out on the water and they have live music. I've been before, but not in several years. He's already called twice today wanting me to go with him. I haven't decided yet. If I get drunk I really need to just stay at home because I always pass out. :1orglaugh
