My two girls are home.
This has been an awful week for us.
It started well enough very early Monday morning, with my doctor telling me all was well and I could go on holiday. Then at 11.00 Eva phoned me to say she had taken Victoria to the doctor because of her coughing and a rash.
The doctor had done a blood test and found Victoria's white blood cell count very high and sent her to hospital. They found a bad infection on her lungs and bronchial problems. They told us Victoria would be in hospital until at least Thursday, which meant us losing our flights to the States.
Eva stayed in the hospital with Victoria sharing a room and I tried to work, not very well I must add. All week the doctors were saying a slight improvement, but still problems.
Today they said she can go home, but needs to come back Tuesday for more tests to see if the infection has cleared up. We are giving her the antibiotics and she is sitting on the sofa watching DVDs.
A bad week, but it looks better now. I went out yesterday and bought some more Xmas presents. We had our Xmas party here Saturday, opened all our presents and were meant to have another one in California on Xmas day. But plans change.
But they are both home now and I'm smiling again.
