A Good Download Manager
Anyone know of one? I've spent the last couple of days trying to download a couple of iso's and the downloads keep timing out. :Grrrrrr
I've looked at a bunch of download managers, but most of them suck ass. I need one that if it loses connection, will save what it has so far and re-establish a new connection to finish the download. Any suggestions? Freeware is prefered since I am on a college student budget. Thanks in advance. :smilie_we |
www.reget.com is the new power, give it a try :)

flashget is pretty good as well...
|
I use Flashget. It's my favorite but I have never seen Re-Get before.
|
http://www.getright.com/ is the best!
|
Download Accelerator is the best I have found so far, but I haven't tried so many. And I heard that DA contains spyware so I dont think its your best choice.
|
I like Download Accelerator, Gozilla isn't too bad either.

Flashget is the one to use.

Any more ideas? :drinkup

OK, FUCK reget. It's been working on an ISO for 2 DAYS now! They can forget me extending the trial period to a purchase on their worthless POS program.
|
Flashget has been trying to START the download for about 5 minutes now. I started a download without a download manager at the same times I started Flashget, and it's at 12% now.
Download Accelerator doesn't work on my machine. As soon as I start it, it crashes. Any other ideas? |
Getright keeps asking for a FTP username and password. Since it's not my website, I can't give that. *grumble*
