Who hates the holidays?
 

Aside from me, there must be others out there that just dont like holidays and special occasions. Probably goes back to my child hood and all of that psychological B.S., maybe I wasnt loved enough as a kid.

Anyway, anyone else just wishing that the next week flies by so we can get back to business as usual? :pimp

I don't know if I hate them (probably) but they aren't fun to me anymore. They are too commercial and drawn out. They have become work to me and now, I don't look forward to them as much as I used to.

I have enough stress year round, the holidays just add more. I suppose if I had a husband or kids it would be different... but the way things are now, there's little to no joy in any of it for me. :Oh crap I hope this feeling changes in the future lol...

Im seriously depressed this season. 3 people in my family were diagnosed with cancer this month and even though I have kids I still cant seem to get in the Christmas-y mood :(
It just seems to get more and more commercialized EVERY year.

I'm sorry :( I know how you feel though. I am totally not into Christmas this year... I lost my aunt and had a horrible year in general. I declined an invitation to my other aunt's house... I plan on working on Christmas.

I didn't buy presents... no tree... nothing. I'm just ignoring Christmas this year. No sense in pretending.

The worst part is, like I said, I have to keep up the facade and smile BIG and puuurty for the family. My one uncle just went home from the hospital today into hospice. They dont expect him to last through New Years. It fucking BITES. If I didnt have youngins I'd have been on the plane to see him but I cant leave yet..I hate feeling like Im racing against the clock. After we open presents, hubby will be taking the kids to grammas and I'll be working too *sigh*
