Please hel with XP Problems

I've just reinstalled XP on my Pc after a clean install...and i copied over some files that i needed over to a CDR but now the cd drive is showing a blank CD when i try to load it,
also when i try to download something over the internet, i dont get the option to open it, only Save and cancel,

Please someone help me to rectify these problems

remove SP2, it should work. If it does, you can reinstall later.

SP2 is a peice of shit patch that ruined everything. Idiots released the worse beta ever.

it came bundled with my XP cd,

There are no problem att all with sp2..I have use it from the realase and it works just great :stoned
