Google Groups Potential
 

If you were to forecast the revenue possibilities when the google groups go public and had the option to work with someone in regards to running a group with them (I managed to pick up a few very good group names etc) what options would you think you would want in place to make it worth your while... just tossing this out there to see what the general public thinks..

I picked up a few nice ones, guess I will just play around a bit with it

yeah i set a few of them up yesterday and just peaked in and with no ads or anything already have received quiet a few members...

if you are intrested in possibily doing some cross group promotion (depending on how your going to structure your groups etc) let me know..

Whats the point ? The don't allow adult.

under their catagories there is "adult" "sex" etc...

Interesting thoughts, I picked up a couple myself.

i'm on to the google groups i also started a thread yesterday it's got a bunch of useful info in it about groups.

i was talking about this yesterday how do you think google ranks the searches of the groups try doing a search for the exact word your group is named the exact spelling in the url it tends to pull other groups and only recomends your group is that just for the group owner or is that in general i'm trying to figure out how the groups search works.

would love to compair notes from what i have seen in a very short period of time vs your notes...

Why do you need someone else to partner with? What are they bringing to the table you can't do yourself?

There are subtle ways to spam even the most mainstream of sites , if you're good you will generate traffic. :)

wg u know i would do it myself but my plate is rather full right now with other things... i would just want someone to run a few of the ones i have and i will control the others... more or less dont want to loose the memberbase and name of the group because i dont have time to do it..

maybe i should get a co-op student lol

Get a coop student, they're cheap. Pay them just $8k/semester and the Ontario Government gives you a $1000 cash reward for doing so. I hired myself as a coop student when I was in school, what a way to rape the system! haha.

Seriously though, I'm really against partnerships unless its absolutely necessary. Not having time is not really an excuse. If this thing makes money, hire someone. Half of GFY'ers I'm sure are willing to do it for cheap or better yet, outsource it someone in India!
