Cutting your own hair with clippers.

Having a strong urge to cut my own hair real short with clippers.

Will it work? Or will I fuck it up and have it 15 different lengths? I'm just gonna do a #3 or something all over.

It just *seems* like a bad idea, so I knew I could count on the good folks at GFY to help me out :conehead

back in the day thats what i did originally. i used a number 2 all around. nowadays i have no choice so i just shave it all

Have someone else to it, so they can get all of your head, and go in every direction to get any hair against the grain.

Balding?

I might have to do that soon :(

It's pretty easy actually. I clip my own hair, but I like it tight so I don't use any guard. Just don't be cheap and get some good clippers. Only thing that sucks is the clean up.

1. you can do it by yourself fine. i've been doing it for years.. must have saved thousands on haircuts by now
2. don't be a fucking pussy. no attachments.

yup.

i tell ya what though. the day i started shaving my head i did a total 180 and got all my confidence back

I used to fade my own hair back in the day with clippers. That's when I was a poor college freshman. It's possible to do a good job if you're careful and have a couple mirrors setup so you can see your hair at different angles. :glugglug

colpanic 12-22-2004 09:09 PM

Sweeeet... I'm goin for it.

I'm going bald anyway, so I might as well give it a test drive. I'm using an extension though.. I've done razor bald before and it didn't work for me.

Speaking of which.. MrIzzz/anyone else... ever try Propecia or Rogaine? Does it work? Is it worth it?

:conehead

nope. i do have a friend however that had a bit of surgery and uses propecia and it looks decent. it didnt bring him back to a full set of hair though.

plus. i hate meds and am scared to even think what the long term effects will be in 10 years to my kidneys
