New rules - FILMING @ THE PLAYERS BALL - if you want to film, here are the rules
 

In the past, we've been very cool about letting people bring in cameras and video cameras.

Times have changed.

1st, with regular cameras, the deal is you must send us copies of all pics if you bring in a camera. And you can't get in the way of the performance. Too many fuckers jump on stage and block our stage show for their greedy little cameras. So you won't have a problem bringing it photo cameras as long as you are aware that we own all rights for all pictures taken and you can't use them on your site unless you have authorized clearance from D-Money Productions. JFK and AaronM are the only ones with clearance at the moment.

2nd, NO VIDEO CAMERAS ALLOWED this year. The only people that can have video cameras must be working for D-Money Productions and all tapes given to us. So if you still want to bring a video camera, you need to make arrangements in advance and turn over the footage on mini DV to us. We don't mind you keeping a copy for your personal viewing, but we need to have full control of the video taken. My biggest issues are with video cameras. People always say they'll send me the tapes afterwards then they never do. So no video cameras unless you are working with me, hit me up if you'd like to video for us, we can use a few good video guys.

yes, must be pre-approved or the video camera won't get in. And I MUST get the tape or a mini dv copy of the tape.

As of now, I'm only clearing people I'm comfortable with, most of the people I already know. But if there are people who want to helo out and film, we just need to authorize you first and collect footage later. I'm being picky on who does this though.

Rule are rules. its almost unheard of to be allowed (I know poeple still sneak them in) to bring in video cameras into a regular concert.

It's a free party, passes are issued from sponsors.

The only problem I have is unauthorized use of pics.

Example, pay sites having a section saying "Players Ball pics" and showing what goes on is a conflict of interest for my future projects. I want to have the exclusive for my event.

Other issues are the size of the video cameras and the dumb asses that get in the way of the performance. Too many cameras infront of the artists makes it hard for our guests to watch and enjoy the show. Plus, when I get my master video back from the production crews I'm hiring, I don't want to have 5 other idiots blocking the performance. We want to see the artists, pornstars, MC's and they action. Not some guy holding his camera getting in the way.

I'm not being a dick at all, more then nice I think.

just sucks, some of us WOULd attend more things if it wansnt such a race to get pics of people you dont like so you can post them on GFY.

and i can totally see why you wouldnt want people using the pics for sites hehehe fuck all that.

We're on the same page.

I don't want people to be turned into content either, that's why I need to authorize use. It's a private event, so we don't want their privacy to be violated either.

Through the years, if I posted a video on the D$ Show (which is where I really want to use my footage the most), I've always taken videos down if someone requested it. That's only been request twice over the last 7 years.

My video team will get releases signed if they do interviews and focus in on anyone. My other objective is to one day release a DVD of the behind the scenes, and group crowd shots happen, but no one person is focused in on.

And no Oystein with the glow sticks will be taken!

I have a VX2000 with wide angle lenses, lighting, etc etc. Also have a Canon D30.

Have shot next to Aaron before back in Florida, he can vouch for my abilities.

Video's are the ones that need the clearance. I don't have an extra camera for that though.
