Laser Eye Surgery
 

has anyone had one of the laser eye surgeries available now? I'm thinking of having it done. Good? Bad? Was it worth it or what? thanks.

I had PRK (pre-Lasik)
It hurt BAD for 4 days, but my vision is perfect. And has been for 6 years.

Didn't you get any happy pills?

i had lasik

from a very good surgeon in san diego. costs 5k.

do it with a real doctor and not one of those dudes you see in th newspaper.

its your eyes we are talking about here.

my vision is 20/15 now. eagle eyes.

wife got it done about 5 years ago and she was blind as a bat now has 20/20 can eat hot soup without her glasses fogging up

I've got my appointment scheduled to have it done

Had CustomVue Lasik April of this year. Went from -5.4 in one eye and -6.3 in the other (essentially 540/630 instead of 20/20) to 25/30 overnight. Now I'm about 20/25 which the doc says might stave off the need for reading glasses in a few years by having one eye slightly nearsided.

I really wnat that done but i'm not too sure yet... :eek7

Damn, that's nice. I've got a slight astigmatism (spelling?) and I think that might limit my choices for surgery. I've still got to check it out. Thanks for the input.
