crazy thing, the most i have been was -10 i think and it was a real nightmare. I can't imagine how -40 to -47 can be. Isn't it risky to leave home even for a bit?

Smurfette 12-22-2004 06:18 AM

We were talking to the brother in law last night in Yellowknife and it was -48C with the windchill of -59C. I use to live there as well and when I look out my window and see rain this close to Christmas I wish I was back there! Just to have snow for Christmas.

Not that risky if you dress for it.
Frost bite can ocurr in les than 10 minutes though.
So you have to wear multiple layers of thick clothes to avoid that.

The only good thing is it will only be cold for 3 more months. (with a few warmer days in between)
