Do you go to church on Christmas Eve?

How many of you will be singing Silent Night in a few nights?

nige 12-22-2004 03:47 AM

Not me.

I only go to church for funerals, weddings and christenings.

Apache_A 12-22-2004 03:54 AM

Platinumpimp 12-22-2004 03:59 AM

It's not like God will give me any presents

OzMan 12-22-2004 04:09 AM

I always remember visiting Ireland at Christmas.... At 11:55PM everyone piles out of the bar into the church for midnight mass, standing room only... then back to the bar.. :glugglug

digifan 12-22-2004 04:15 AM

I don't think so...

I went to a service at St.Paul's that was held right after 9/11 for Americans that live in the UK. It was amazing and something I will remember forever.

mal 12-22-2004 05:01 AM

religion is for sheep

pushpills 12-22-2004 05:03 AM

yep, always go with my grandparents, not religious myself but they enjoy it, I aim to please.

just went to a sermon with my girlfriend the other day for her dads new church in indiana (he's a preacher man, but a laid back, twice divorced one).

2 services in 1 month. havent gone that many times since before I was whackin off!

flashfire 12-22-2004 05:04 AM

nope, going ounce a year is more lame than going every week

Scott McD 12-22-2004 05:06 AM

Nah, if i don't go all year, don't see the point of going once...

Goose 12-22-2004 05:12 AM

But buying expensive gifts for people on a religious holiday isn't? Btw, I don't go on Christmas eve, but I do on Christmas morning.

Nicky 12-22-2004 05:20 AM

I went there last year, let me tell you im never going back again, was the most boring shit ive been too for years......

Dirty-Dough 12-22-2004 05:37 AM

Singing what?

PHPdude 12-22-2004 05:55 AM

i only go to church on midnight mass and wedings and christings.

Jer 12-22-2004 05:57 AM

No.

Wiggles 12-22-2004 06:11 AM

i hate going to church at any time, i'll pass this year as well.

Manowar 12-22-2004 06:13 AM

No, but i will try and go next year

Peaches 12-22-2004 06:13 AM

I used to when I lived nearer my family. We went to my parent's church and it was a family event. Now that I'm further away, I'm lazy and don't want to drive down there twice in 12 hours (and I don't want to pay for a dogsitter to stay over) and I don't have a church here.

Evil1 12-22-2004 12:40 PM

I can have my girlfriend tell me fucking fairy tales.. no need to travel for it.

Halcyon 12-22-2004 12:49 PM

Yep. I go to see my mom sing in the choir. Then we go home and sing carols in the Jacuzzi with Grandpa. Its a nice SoCal family tradition. :)

Femme Fa'tale 12-22-2004 12:50 PM

Yeah... I'll be with my family...after church...we will have dinner in a fine resto... :)

Warren 12-22-2004 01:01 PM

Only if I get to wear My new clothes.

TheSaint 12-22-2004 02:10 PM

No. I've hardened my position on religion. I used to be more tolerant, but I have come to see that the Taliban and a lot of U.S. churches have a lot in common (intolerance, arrogance, stupidity, etc.) ; one equals the other in my opinion so I won't step foot inside of either.

and then go to the movies. When I was a teen I worked at a cinema in the Philly area and we had to all do a couple hours on Christmas day for that reason.

EVERYONE goes to the movies on Christmas night.

I used to work at the theatre too and Christmas day and night were ALWAYS one of the busiest days.
