I'm sure many have been following the slezy dream post, now he thinks he deserves the DVD for the longest post, however most of you stated awhile back that non-regulars of this forum should not win. But since I am a man of my word, I told him we would put it to a vote! If most feel he should get it, then he will.

Some people think Sleazys post was lame, and he shouldn't get the dvd player because of various reasons. But what makes his "lame" post different than any other "lame" post that wins on GFY? I can't really understand why the thread got so much attention. As lame as it was it did win the longest thread. Maybe re-do the rules on the dvd to where a member of gfy has to have x number of posts. Maybe the thread should have been locked out as spam to begin with. In my opinion it went against webmaster standards of helping each other. It turned out to be a "I'm better than you" post.

it's probably one of the few topics i didn't read at all. It expanded like a damn virus, 100s posts/day. I think he deserves the dvd, not only for the longest thread of the week, but also for the longest of all.

That was the longest thread I have ever seen. And about as useful as tits on a bull. But it was by far the longest, so he should get the DVD player. I never heard of a rule that states a thread has to be informative, or helpful in order to qualify for the prize.
Funny thing is, that thread would have died if people could have either blown it off(the guy never posts here), or just started a new thread to piss about his opening post. |
