check if it has a cash by date if not it should be fine...

As far as I know it is like cash, so if it has no expiry it can be redeemed.

a US bank might charge you to do it... My Pool.com checks get whacked with a $25 fee from my bank because they are drawn on a Canadian Account

Some money orders from USPS are cashable only within the US (it states) and others are international. I however am unsure how CanadaPost works.

usually void if not cashed withing a time period specified on the money order. 90 days 6 months or a year are often used as time periods.
