BTW - if you have any questions about the Phone Sex business please post them here. I know most of you are involved in the Adult Web world and may see phone technology as a thing of the past. Hi Jack,

I've been helping promote a client's phone sex biz for 3+ years and although new sales have steadily dropped, there is still a LOT of money to be made.

No B.S. he has had one customer now for over 8 years, he does 50 calls/day once or twice a week. At $40 a pop you do the math.

He used to call 100 times/day at least 5 times a week ... no b.s.

Okay, so here's the situation: He has a call-back service with a receptionist, 1-800 number. $40 flat-rate for $30. It's here in Toronto and the caller has 2 options: The telemate calls back collect or he pays a $10 surcharge and we pay the long distance.

He uses a lond distance carrier getting about $0.04/min.

He is totally old-school: His receptionists use cue cards to keep track of customers. He spend $1000s on getting a custom DB built but scrapped it before it was implemented.

Only accepts major CCs

I have tried since day #1 to bring him into the current century with no luck:

- VOiP
- Computerized/touch-tone access for existing customers
- Adding webcam chat / even text chat
- Offering SMS service for the high number of European callers
- Go to a per/minute rate as we are a lot more expensive than 90% of the sites on the web
- Scrap the $10 charge/collect as it at bests costs him $0.50 / call (most calls are 10-15 mins)

And about 20 other ideas...

If you are a phone sex guru I'd appreciate any ideas on how to change his system, get more sales(!), filter off overseas traffic, etc.
