This scotish guy yesterday donated £7million (about $13million) to band aid because he was moved by the tv program about it http://news.scotsman.com/scotland.cfm?id=1439362004

which follows the £105 million (about $200million) he gave to charity last year - one-fifth of his fortune. This was used to set up the Hunter Foundation, which encourages young people in Scotland to be entrepreneurial.

Yea he's a great person - not the first time he's done this. Bill Gates like mentioned above has his own thing he runs. He's helped out a lot too! These are some great people!

The Gates Foundation is a $27 billion endowment fund used for grants primarily related to global health and education. It'll be interesting to see how much the Gates give away in their lifetime...and beyond.
