Anyone have the Sony PSP

They're only available in Japan at the moment, but I heard something about them being non-region specific.

I know that the Nintendo DS is for sure, but I'm not positive about the PSP.

yup only in Japan for now, USA is up in 05 (not clear when precisely) and EU is up March 05 I believe.

They're getting close to $1k for the unit and a game on eBay.

Apparently battery life is a lot worse than they promoted it to be, and lots of problems with the first batches distrubuted

Sony, always has problems with their first batches of consoles. dont know why they havent rectafied the problem yet.

They're always rushing to meet the deadlines they set.

They'd rather keep their word on release dates then provide a top quality product at launch.

yeh I read the same... a lot of dead pixels, buttons fucking up, I will wait a few versions :glugglug

I got 2 from Lik-sang from the first initial batch... Haven't got any problems with them

Its an amazing bit of kit. Im playing Ridge Racers & a wicked puzzle game Lumines (made by the same guys who made that trippy clubbers game REZ), Golf & a vampire chronicles beat-em-up.

The wireless capabitlites are good, my son & I play ridge racer against each other in different rooms, its a whole lot of fun!

Ive got a DS also, that is good, but if I had to choose, the psp would win hands down.
