who likes to kick on the shower 15 minutes or more before hopping in?
i'm into the whole steamy thing, where you get in and you can barely see.
and no kman, i'm trying to get any sheep excited and jealous about my showering experience. |
depends on if im in a hurry or not
Hot showers are for pussies, but you will fall asleep faster though.
every time :thumbsup
gotta have steam... alooooooot of steam |
LOL..
I do!! But 15 minutes is a bit more than I do.. But yeah a good 3-5 minutes usually before I jump in. |
it's all about the sheep not seeing you comming
Ain't happening. I have a 40 gallon hot water tank. At 15 minutes I'd be stepping in to enjoy the cooling water getting rid of any steam left:glugglug
I shower in quite cold shower. I run it for like 15 seconds before hopping in. :)
Never tried it
I recon its a total waste of water, you ppl should have to pay a fine.
I love doing that when I'm tired.
is also good to muffle sounds :1orglaugh
Shower ?
Can't you afford a hot jacuzzi or atleast a bath ? |
15 minutes is too short for me...
15 minutes of water going straight down the drain? That's like 100+ litres completely wasted. There has to be a more efficient and environmentally friendly way to do it, maybe some kind of device that could generate the steam independently.
You could also just try a low-tech radiant heat lamp. :) |
I do, mainly cause i like the sound!
My hubby does that... personally I can't handle the water that hot, I get heat exhaustion and faint. :)
quiet, offtopic, I e-mailed you about something... could you make sure you get back to me please? thanks :thumbsup
Except for the basement bathroom, mine are all wood - wood ceilings, walls and floors. Steam is not wood's friend :winkwink:
2 minutes tops
Hubby likes hot showers, but our water gets hot fast, so there is no need to wait 15 minutes. I like my baths... I have a whirlpool tub that I'll lie in for an hour. But, until my boobs heal from surgery, I'm not allowed to take any baths :( .
i leave it run while i shave so it gets semi steamy before i hop in

ha im lucky if get 10 minutes of hot water TOTAL. i dont know why but i run out of hot water so damn fast.
:( |
Not quite to that extreme... I just get it running because my hot water tank is in the basement and I'm 6 floors up so it can take a minute or two for it to get just right.
the world has water problem
and rich white boy is posting threads askin what other rich white boys are so fucking selfish and complete fuckign up themselves that they think its cool to run a fucking shower just for the fuck of it :thumbsup |

Not unless it takes 15 minutes to get hot water??:uhoh
In the winter I'm happy if I have 15 minutes of hot water.
I run it for a minute or two before I get in

http://xo.typepad.com/blog/tree.jpg But yeh, I like it nice and steamy too ... only takes me 5 mins though. :Graucho |
Never.. Most of the times I dont have the time.. and its a waste of water and gas.
what a waste of water. :2 cents:
30 seconds to a minute usualy for me..
Why do you need steam do you stand in your bathroom for that 15 minutes absorbing it or just getting in the shower? I dont like it steamy at all. I get out of the bathroom as soon as im dry so i dont have to be in it. |

if I have a purification system in place to filter out the chlorine in the water, sure...other than that, absolutely not... not fond of breathing that stuff...not exactly healthy for ya |

get the new juicy water heater. |
15 mins and my hot water turns cold (damn apartment lol)
i do, however, have a heater built into the wall that i crank up before a nice hot shower :thumbsup |
yea, I have it on for a couple before jumping in, lol.
I've never heard of such a thing? lol My hair is VERY long, so I spend at least 30 minutes in the shower... I would run out of hot water half way through if I let it run 15 mins before getting in.
I have a natural gas water heater that I'm told was built for a house twice this size. I love it. Never a worry about being the last person showering and getting cold water. My master bathroom steams up nicely.
maybe 5 min, just to get the temp right. but i take very long showers.
its all about the MetroBath® :1orglaugh
