adsense question

Id ask google , but I hate the 24 hour replies .. so flamers fuck off ..

Anyway , Im trying to ad a google adsense ad to one of my mainstream sites and no matter what the heck I specify I get one big banner .. not images but one big ugly text link banner .

I pick 600x120 and it just fillls that part of the page with blue and puts one ad .
like fuck Im putting that on my page .

Anyone know whats causing this ?
Copied the code as it was .. it shows this pretty sample with 5 links ,but still I get one big text link .

When you preview it in the browser it will show one big community ad.When its online at first it may also show this until google crawls your page and decide which ads are best placed to put there.Don't panic.
Pages with a low pagerank can take longer to get crawled.Give it 48 hours and then look. Also If you are in a foreign country then there maybe no advertisers willing to show their ads in that country but they will be showing to US surfers.
I hope this helps.

The adsense bot usually spiders within 12 hours, for me anyway.

i've always gotten the content ads within minutes of placing them there.

try refreshing the page a couple of times and see what happens.

Yes it should have real ads very shortly. It has always been the same day for me. There could be one problem. If the bots can not determine the focus of your site you will only get PSAs. Make sure your page is optimized for Google. I made that mistake once. It didn't take long until I had it figured out and was getting really relovent ads.

I think it will be fine ,
At first I was just previewing in the browser , cause the domain hasnt even resolved yet .. Im just working fast .
