Would You Still Buy A Handheld Console ???
With the new Sony PSP and Nintendo DS handhelds due out, would you still consider buying either of them, or would you feel too old to buy one ?
Sony PSP http://www.fredshouse.net/images/psp1.jpg Nintendo DS http://www.frailart.net/members/z0mb...endoDS/DS2.jpg Some of the screenshots i've seen from some of the games on the PSP look amazing for a handheld. Sony's can also play movies, aswell as a few other things. Always handy for those long flights right ?? :winkwink: |
I think if those consoles had good wireless support and you could play on inet they would be worth checking out, but I barely ever play games now unless its at home and I'm relaxing, so personally I dont care.

Sure, why not
I would probably order a few with reward points though like we did with the GBA :) |
I always think they are neat, but when i get them i never use them :(

I can't wait to get a PSP.

The news on Sony's PSP.
Finally, Sony have decided the time is right to muscle into the handheld market. With their first portable games console, the Sony PSP, they look set to continue their own unique brand of gaming style. Utterly desirable, the handheld looks set to match even the mighty iPod in the 'must have' stakes, and that's before you even switch it on! More powerful than anything else currently available in the market, the machine can run incredible games on a stunning 16:9 format screen, ensuring that nothing else can match it! Combine this power with the ability to watch movies on the go, and even listen to MP3s, the PSP is sure to make a big splash! Features: Hardware Specs: The PSP's 32bit processor and 32MB or memory ensure performance exceeding that of the original PS One. In fact, it's supposedly almost as powerful as it's big brother, the PS2! Screen: Massive (for a handheld) 4.3 inch, 16:9 widescreen TFT LCD display, offering 480 x 272 pixels in full 24 bit colour. Disc Drive: The PSP uses Sony's brand new UMD discs, offering 1.8 GB of storage. As well as games, the UMD can store music, video, even full movies! Connectivity: The PSP offers full IEEE 802.11b standard wireless networking capabilities for cable free multiplayer gaming, and potentially, interactivity with other Sony products. In addition, it also sports a USB port and a Memory Stick slot. Looking good ! :Graucho |

The sony psp looks pretty sweet, would come in handy when flying.
|
I plan on getting both of them actually nothing wrong with having fun...
|
Please Lord Please do not make my son see one of those things!! Lord knows they'll be in every GDamn flier in January!
|
The PSP looks cool but I've heard the load times are agonizing.
Like 10 secs and more from screen to screen. Fuck that. |
I have a GBA for long flights..
Mario Kart kicks ass :) |
Still divided between the two...
Still too broke to afford either one... Though I AM leaning towards the PSP for the 16:9 aspect ratio. |
