Amateurpages question
Is it safe to use the click pic program or are they still not paying? Also, is the site converting well for signups or no?
|
Amateurages?
Never heard of em. Only do business with established programs. :2 cents: |

Risky.
The rule "dont open their link in a new window" I took as dont target=_new the amateur pages url from the pic.. forgot who it was ram or hoax decided it would be funny if the rule was interpreted as dont open a new window from a page on your site to a page on your site with their clickpic on it. Didnt get paid.:2 cents: |
The only way they will not pay is if you break the rules :winkwink:
That's at least what I heard last week when they first launched :) |

Do not "target=" a new window or display our site in a frame, display our ad in a console, redirect (404) or new window, or show any console when someone clicks the Amateur Pages Link. |

Pretty clear to me too. |
hmmmmm... I don't think I'd trust them if they are going to be a pain in the ass about targets.

They were my first sposnor and still pay me every month. I just keep it very small because one day they will quit paying me too.
|
has nothing to do with being tricky has to do with following the rules. You follow the rules you will always get paid. NO MATTER WHAT. Don't follow the rules and if you get caught you will not get paid. You could have changed your TGP or just not used us. Instead you decided you would take your chances with breaking the rules. This is not a per sign up program. We pay you based on buying the surfer. Which means we want all of him not just a little portion of him because there are 6 other window open to him.

When I first started in theis business a few years back, I used AmateurPages and always did get paid.
MY one problem with them from a webmaster's viewpoint is the way they tell webmasters that they are not going to get paid..or more accurately, the way they Don't tell webmasters they are not going to get paid. Granted some people purposely cheat..but others don't. So, what happens if you misinterprete the rules? Amateurpages will accept you traffic until the day you realize that you are not getting paid, and make an inquiry. But, if you don't call them, then they will simply let the traffic flow in, instead of taking the time to send out an email saying, "guess what, you are sending traffic the wrong way". If you guys do in fact send out "warnings" then my apologies... |

Evil1 Little Jerk quote: Originally posted by Eric_aka_RedEye So in turn. If YOU do not open the link in a new window then YOU are not breaking the rules. If YOUR TGP opens our link in a new window. Then YOU are breaking the rules. I hope this clears this up ----------- Well the way I understood it is the AP url must open in the same window it was clicked from/no 404's/no consoles.. but now what you are saying is say.. if someone hits my tgp index, then goes to the amateur archive (which opens in a new window) from the index and on the amateur archive is an AP link with (target=_self) this is still cheating. I'm just trying to get this right and clean my sites up on the off chance that my accont hasnt been closed for cheating cause that's exactly how my shit is set up now. Then I Icq'd *YOU* to clairify that.. you told me it's against the rules but no problem, just fix it and email hoax telling him it's fixed. Then: Evil1 Little Jerk quote: Originally posted by Eric_aka_RedEye I never said you were flagged. ------- I spose you could have read that wrong, you said I wasnt flagged when I icq'd ya, but to clean up my shit and email hoax. I did that and hoax termed the account.. thats all. I did everything you asked, emailed hoax, he told me I was term'd HOWEVER, he can put me on "probation" He'll keep the money, and I can keep sending traffic. |
Well I am not sure why Hoax would term your account after you and I talked. Especially if it was an honest mistake that you made. We do work out deals with people who do make honest mistakes. All depends on how bad the traffic was that was brought in from that mistake. The rules are solid and have been there since day one.

This is a per click program. And that means that it gets cheated more than any program out there. These rules are in place for a reason and must be strictly enforced. Just so you all know I got my taste of it too. When the program first opened up I pushed traffic to it and I love a substantial amount of money because I made a mistake. I ate it and I moved on and became better from it. |

I can see why you wouldnt want scumbags like myself sending traffic.. I mean you have to be a really slimey motherfucker to try to make sure your not cheating huh. |
I never called you a scumbag. You have to look at it from our standpoint. We have 100s of people trying to cheat us monthly. Like I said I have no clue why Hoax wouldn't work with you. Hit me up on ICQ tomorrow and we will talk some more.
|
You should send an email saying they will not be paid. I understand you take the approach we are all cheating you but some people just fuck up.

by the time I was pissed off enough to email support all I got were emails " were on it" or " we're looking into it " and then after months , the site expired I was into totally different business and had no proof of anything , when it was all right there when I first made my complaint . Its not like I have those emails now 3 years later or even remember my email address or account number associated with that account , especially over $100 , but in my opinion its a type of shaving where you just screw the little guy and wait till he comes on GFY and bitches and then everyone bashes him cause the board is owned by adult.com ( this hasnt happened to me , but I've seen it many many times ) |
