You've got to be kidding me! Funny email from a surfer hahah.
I run a few ringtone sites and with the amount of ringtones being sold and all the different phones and providers and stuff it happens that a ringtone won't be delivered. This guy sent 3 emails complaining he didn't receive a ringtone and is going to chargeback ?? hahah. We're talking about a few cents here.
This guy even posted his website address, turns out he is a licensed psychologist, maybe it's just a joke... but anyway i guess it's not right to post his website here. The adult industry is definitely not for him considering the amount of money some people owe me. On another note, maybe I'm being too generous and need to get after the people who owe me money. ---- Dear Sir or Madam On 12/17/2004 I purchased ringtone 8760627 (Polyphonic Laurel and Hardy Theme) for mobile phone number *** (USA). This is a Nokia 6230. Pay Pal transaction ID ***. The ringtone never was sent to my phone. Did I do something wrong? The test tone came thru without any problem. What do I have to do to get the ringtone I paid for. PS This is the second e-mail I have sent about this--there was no response to the first one. (I may have listed *** in my order as the e-mail address. That is a valid address. *** ---- few days later This is the 3rd e-mail I have sent. There was no response to my others. If there is no response to this I will contact my credit card company for a chargeback. On December 16, 2004 I ordered Polyphonic Ringtone 8760627 (Laurel and Hardy Theme) for my Nokia 6230. I am in the USA. Cell Number is ***. This was not delivered. I received a confirmation from PayPal that the charge went thru. The help screen on your site says there is no record of a order. The PayPAl transaction ID is ***. Please deliver the ringtone or refund the money. |
How is the ringtone business treating ya?
Im thinking about setting up a site as well. |

Even if it's pennies, if the guy got screwed and can't get a response, he ought to charge back. I mean I doubt I would, out of laziness, but if it were a simpler/faster process I'd charge back just out of principle. If this is a rarity for your company, then it won't matter, but the idea is sound - if a company had regularly dissatisfied customers, with whom it couldn't resolve matters amicably, then the CC companies would shut them down.

Happened also for me.
I paid for a ringtone and it wasn't delivered. For a moment, I also wanted to charge back, just for the principle. |
