Over the last 2 weeks I have been in Contact with the Dalnet irc network which is the major distributor for adult site passwords.

they house over 20 password channels.

As of 4 days from now, Dalnets policy thanks to Aaron Schultz
at the dalnet staff, no more porn channels are allowed on the dalnet network, they all will be closed down in 4 days. This is just a first step in making affil programs and paysites run better. You are here to make money not lose it.

Just thought I would give you an update.

I think thats pretty shitty, I don't agree with any type of censorship. First it's irc, but whats next www?

you think people should be cracking our sites? and giving out free access behind our backs?

What is wrong with closing illegal shit? there is a difference between censorship and closing illegal sites

thats the thing you didnt just shut down one or two chat rooms, you shut down all porn channels on dalnet. And you know as well as I do this isnt going to do anything, they can easily switch networks

About what I was thinking.. efnet is LOADED with password channels and noones going to convince them to shut down anything.

It would have been better to monitor the passwords distributed and email compromised logins immediately to the company running the paysite.

If you're able to get all password trading channels shutdown then kudos. :)

That's great! What made Dalnet finally take action? Their irc channels have been trading passwords for years.
