Do you believe in god?

Simple question really...

AaronM 12-19-2004 05:08 PM

Where's the "Fuck NO!" answer?

This could become a rather long thread.

There is no God. Get used to it.

xclusive 12-19-2004 05:09 PM

Yes I do because there is a force in this universe that I feel in my soul but I don't believe in the corrupt bible go figure...

Illicit 12-19-2004 05:09 PM

SleazyDream 12-19-2004 05:10 PM

Agnostic..

There MAY be a "god", there may NOT be a "god".

I won't know for sure until it's all over.

candyflip 12-19-2004 05:13 PM

I just posted this in AaronM's thread. It sums up my stance.

"God in an imaginary friend for grown-ups."

Catholics need to stop sending their kids to Catholic schools if they want their religion to survive. :1orglaugh

Evolution shows us that some intelligent force exists in this world, god or not

Manowar 12-19-2004 05:17 PM

No, I dont.

azguy 12-19-2004 05:17 PM

God... Some people are just bored/scared/clueless/lost and need something to hold on to. For them god "exists".

God is a creation of our imagination based on thoughts our parents and society have attempted to implant in our brains.

Shorties watching shorties:

Q: "Why aren't you Catholic if you went to Catholic school for 10 years?"

A: ".......Uh...Because I went to Catholic school for 10 years."

MandyBlake 12-19-2004 07:39 PM

I don't see anything funny about this question.

I'm a university student and I believe in god...

TurboTrucker 12-20-2004 03:51 PM

I believe in Crystal Lite.

and that is suppose to tell me what?

I attended St.Rocks in TO (run by roman catholic nuns & priests), as well a christian college and yadda-yadda.

I laugh at the mere fact people still believe in 'god' - no different from the Easter Bunny, Santa, the boogie man, etc.

polish_aristocrat 12-20-2004 03:54 PM

I am not sure. :uhoh

burntout21 12-20-2004 03:55 PM

I believe in higher lifeforms in the universe, i guess u could call that a god, I dont really believe in life after death though.

TurboTrucker 12-20-2004 03:56 PM

Fact: You can't prove that there is a God.

Fact: You can't prove that there isn't a God.

Opinion: All organized religion is BS.

that this statement of yours:

"Anyone that attended any educational institute knows there is no such thing!

is wrong...

Paco, of Large Cash. 12-20-2004 04:08 PM

Yes, OK, that statement was more sarcastic than serious - I apologize for its lack of validity.

How about this:

How can a person attend a science class where he/she learns of the true age of this earth yet in the next period read or be taught about the bible?s version of creation.

In addition, if procreation is meant only for man and woman, where did Adam and Eve come from, as they are supposedly the first humans?

How does one prove that there is a being known as God? and how much of a bastard is he/she to let this world carry on the way it is?

ADL Colin 12-20-2004 04:09 PM

I have faith.

There's no god.

Nor can I prove that there is no tooth fairy, easter bunny, or santa claus but I have strong suspicions.

I didn't say anything about the bible. I asked a simple question. whether you believe there is a god or not...
I study Physics btw...
One of my professors (the dean of the faculty) is religious...

In addition, if procreation is meant only for man and woman, where did Adam and Eve come from, as they are supposedly the first humans?

There are two different versions for this in the Tora.. feel free to read...

If someone proves it, you and I will know for sure...
