Best Photoshop for Beginners Book?

My sister wants to learn Photoshop, impossible to teach somebody Photoshop over the phone and I'm not going to give her in house lessons cuz i will most likely have a heart attack in the process, too much stress.

So I'm looking for recommendations for a good PS for beginners book.

Thanks

there is only one good photoshop book.

The Photoshop Bible for whatever version you running.

The best book is time.

thanks Fletch, that is a great book - i have used some of the tutorials that come out of it - just wasn't sure it was meant for pure beginners.

and Alien is right - nobody ever stops learning Photoshop - it is limitless - in fact the other day i discovered something I could do with it in batch process that for 5 years i have been adding another time consuming step to because I never figured out how Photoshop could do it. I just sorta stumbled on the answer as i was working on something completely unrelated.

the PS bible is a good book but for someone new to the program it's a bit over whelming IMO..

way too much info for a noob and will discourage them.

Try one from "Adobe: Classroom in a book" or "Idiots guide to PS"..

im no PS guru, which is why i recommend what I have used :)

i learn new things all the time too, and anyone who has seen the stuff i have designed for people over the past 3 years, im not showing off any killer skills with it.

PS is a great program, and the only book i ever bought was the PS Bible, and while it may cover some more-than-intermediate topics, it also covers ALL of the basics and foundation as well so it leaves room for more mastering of it, if you choose to.

vs the Phosotshop for dummies which basically tells you how to open a document, make one and save it ;)

Photoshop for Dummies is pretty easy to read for a beginner.
