ATTN Paintballers: I need some ADVICE
a yooooooooo
Im lookin to start paintballing... http://www.skirmish.com Im in NY so this isnt too far out from me, and by the looks of it, they got some sweet fuckin fields ... My question: Since Im a noob and never went PBing before, whats a good gun to start with? My price range is that I dont want the cheapest, or the most expensive. I already have myself a full body camo outfit., so I wont be needing that. I dont have a mask though. So can you suggest me some guns / sites I should check out? And what kinds of things should I look out for when buying this shit? Annnnd... say if I was going to go PB'ing for 6 - 8 hours, how much supplies would I need, do you think? <thanks> |
Find a PB shop and ask them. They know everything and would find the perfect gun for you.

It all depends on how much you want to spend... which can be quite a lot :D
Me, I'd rather be playing airsoft. |
That is my gun the SIM-4
http://www.revyourengine.com/gun/016.jpg By far the best paintball gun. There site is http://www.ariakon.com/ |
Wouldn't it be wise to hire some gear for the day, to see if it is something you actually want to do regularly? That said though, I am going again tommorow, and it is a hell of a lot of fun.

I just got back paintballing :-)
Well if you are a newb....Get a cheap Spyder imagine and swap parts. Upgrade the Barrel "stiffy" or "all American" or Dye Boomstick 14-16inches. Buy a Revoultion Loader 12V And buy a 45/4500 Crossfire HPA Nitro System or stubby. Thats not the best of the best but its a damn good setup for a newb. Spyder = 120.00 (Semi 3 6 and 12/automode) Barrels = "stiffy 99.00" All American "65.00" Dye Boomstick "75.00" Revoultion Loader ="65.00" Crossfire High Pressure tank 45/4500 = 220.00 So About 400.00.ish |
Also Buy a Profiler Mask
79-89.00 Trust me on that one |
OK first off your gun is like underware. WHat suits you wil not be the same for someone else.
Personally I use a Bud Orr auto cocker (not jokes/puns needed....) with an extension. I like to be able to snipe with accuracy and the consistency of the gun. Of course it cost me $600 when I got it. You can buy a good frame for $100 and add the extension, syphon tank, etc as you see fit and can afford. Personally I would consider the camo from somewhere like here: http://extremecamouflage.com/index.html Decide your style of play and there area that you usually play in (indoors or outdoors) and then decide upon the gun of your choice. |
My boys both use a Tippman A-5 with response trigger and a flatline barrel.

I use a Smart Parts Nerve myself. |
Oh btw.
I would save your money if you are just playing that day.. And upgrade to the A-5 for 15.00 more.. also check www.pbreview.com |
