I gave one of my sites backlinks from 4 of my PR1 domains last night. How much should this boost me in search results??

I've only gotten 8 uniques from Google since the beginning of December. Any idea what it might be with the new backlinks?

Takes a while for the backlinks to factor into Google. Pagerank isn't critical, but it will take a lot of PR 1 sites for you to see any difference.

Try to find some other sites to exchange links with.

4 PR1 domains? That's about as valuable as 4 farts in the wind. Get yourself some real links before you can expect any reasonable se traffic.

Fake Nick is an asshole, but hes right. You're going to need 100's of backlinks, and from sites that are PR3+.

I'm hoping the next PR update will occur in January, so get your ass busy linking, boy!! Aim for links from at least PR3 sites and up, like Sean said. Also, links from your own IP (class, I believe) will count far less than links from other people's sites.
