My buddy needs a good freehost , more for mainstream ..
I never use them , anyone know any good ones ?

I'm kind of doubting you'll find a "good freehost", but who knows. Like ronaldo said, the cost of web hosting is low enough anymore there isn't any reason to put up with free hosts.

a $5 virtual would do him fine , but I know its probally pointless anyway .. total noob just looking to test some water out .

If you are looking for a mainstream host then it doesn't get any cheaper then this! $1.95 a month! I don't use them but I know people who do for family websites and they have no compliants.
