I need a honest male opinion?
okay here it goes a year and a half ago I hooked my best friend with one of my old high school friends. The hit it off right away and she endd up moving in with him a few months later and they both told me that this is the best relationship both of them have ever been and and they never thought they would meet that perfect person.
Okay now a year and a half later, a week ago he said that he doesn't feel like living the married life anymore and he wants her to move out by Jan 1st and he needs space and wants to feel like a man again. She moved out the next day and is totally crushed and confused. Shedoesn't understand what happened, she thought everything was perfect and she was really happy fights here and there, like any other normal couple, but nothing major. The rest of my friends think he is seeing someone else. I feel bad for hooking them up. When I asked him about it he said he just wanted to be alone. I don't get it. I don't understand what does it mean, "I want to feel like a man again" and how could he give her a few weeks to move out during xmas? Men always complain that women are gold diggers and bitches but when someone nice comes along why toss them to the side. Any input? If age matters she is 24 and he is 26 |
guys ditch girls for the following reasons:
1) some better ass has come along 2) not getting enough attention and/or action 3) relationship isnt "moving" ahead.. ie; same boring shit over and over. this usually comes back to being bored in bed honestly.. is there any more to it without getting too technical? |
he was trying to save money on christmas gifts:winkwink:

it always has to do with sex, doesn't it? |
Sounds like he had been seeing someone else on the side. If not, he's possibly having an age crisis he thinks going back to bachelorhood will cure. Tell your friend if you had ever seen that immature side of him you wouldn't have hooked them up and leave it at that. It's not your fault... unless you had seen that immature side of him and hooked them up :glugglug

basically it means he wants the pad back to have other chicks over. i've done this. you meet someone, its fresh and new. then you have a couple squabbles and realize that its not all rose gardens like you thought. and then you realize that you are in the same kind of thing that other people have. the guy jumped to conclusions by lettin her move in in the first place. after two months? way too early for a man to know what he wants. new fresh sex beats tired fighting with you sex anyday. men live in a constant state of "find new sex" its programmed into our brains.

Men and women are very different |
If he is independent then he prolly feels trapped. he wakes up she is there, he goes to bed she is there. marriage is a prison for some.
If he is a dependent personality and always has been in relationships then he has somebody on the side. |

Males like that give good males a bad name. (The saying is correct, 'men are pigs' well, some anyway... and no, I am not gay ... just too busy living life to date.)
I would say he is suffering a mid-life crisis. More importantly, in my eyes, it is best for your friend that this happened now and not down the road when bigger commitment were a foot. The sad part is, it seems as if the world is forgetting about or removing honesty from its existence, which is ironically funny cause there are more religions now than ever. (Makes me wonder what they are preaching.) |

So don't blame the men :winkwink: |

Men have the awesome capability of treating a girl we love and one we have no interest in the exact same way. |

I noticed |
all I can say if that is how the guy felt, they are both better off.
The guy obviously didn't love her, and she can't expect him to stay with her if that is the case. Perhaps he was a bit harsh on her, but I am sure it was not an easy decision for him. And in most cases I know when people brake up one of them moves out immediately, not a few weeks later, just go and then have some one (or do it them selfs) pick up their stuff later. In most cases during a brake up some one will be hurt, unfortunately for your friend she was the one to get hurt this time, but such is life, she has to get on with it now :glugglug |
He's a young guy, even if everything really was working out perfectly, he could have honestly felt trapped and that he rushed in to this, he got scared, and needed time to clear his head. He could have been a bit more tactful about it, but we arent known for our tact. :2 cents:

thanks for the input guys! I am so happy to be single, too much drama being in a relationship. It gives me a headache. I can't think of anyones relationship that I admire.

He is only 26. Perhaps he didnt like the thought of living with the same women for the rest of his life at this time.
