A funny if not disturbing new trend in the chatroom promotion game are bots that issue a CLONE PERCENTAGE warning whenever a new profile/ID enters the room the clone is in.

Someone emailed me suggesting that it may be the website itself doing these 'clone checks'...

If that was true, wouldn't they rather identify themselves so people know straight away that this is some sort of customer service to chat room users?

Some scum bags will stoop to all time lows to try to eliminate/reduce competition. However, I hope they realize it's like throwing water on a grease fire. When someone in this type of traffic area has a sales/traffic loss, they need to compensate for that down time by coming back with more bots to make up for what they lost. So the jealous and evil competition may think they are smart by temporarily suppressing their competition but in the end it's the worst mistake they could ever make because the ones who lost money will retaliate, they will regroup and they will come back with a vengeance.

Its called an AI bot, set to respond to certain keywords.
MSN and AOL are both flooded with these.

Not really. This 'clone detection bot' actually compares profiles/ID info and comes up with a % rating.
