ATTENTION: LA WEBMASTERS! - Please help Donate toys to needy children for XMAS
 

I am putting together a TOY DRIVE for underprivilidged and or sick children this holiday season.


If you live in the LA or South bay areas and can donate toys and or if you can hit me up on ICQ and I can either pick up the toys if they are close buy or you can write me a check and i'll buy the toys on your behalf.

The organizations you can choose to donate to are the following:


*USC Childrens Hospital
*UCLA Harbor Childrens Ward
*Los Angeles TOY LOAN (Dept of social services)
*Vista Del Mar Orphanage in Los Angeles


If you have any other organizations please feel free to let me know.

I need to have all toys dontated or funds to purchase toys by Wed. December 22nd.

There is NO religious affiliation with these organization so dont worry...I just want to help out these kids.

My daughter ran the gift program at Harbor UCLA Medical Center for several years, I will contribute a couple stuffed animals

I just spoke to the owners of G3X / Weg. I am going to take the company card up to a toy store and pick up a cart full.

Please get a hold of me so that I can get them to you.

I will drive them up. I am assuming the drop-off instructions were not in the post?

Count us in at Smashbucks to come thru for you, we to will break out the card, and fill a cart up as well. Plus my daughter has so many toys she does not even know what she has, but we will put those together also, some are very cool.

Absolutely a good idea, any clue what ages the kids are for the most part? I'll head over to Target and stock up on games and puzzles for you as well.

I picked a local kid here off the giving tree.. dropping the gift off tonight..

Would have helped on this thread if I didnt have someone in mind already!! I think everyone in this biz should pick a kid they want to get a gift for and give back.. We have it pretty made in the shade alot of us.. So it gets me kinda misty eyed and wrenches my gut when I think about innocent little kids whose parents cannot afford to get them something nice for the holidays.

I just called my daughter re: Harbor UCLA Medical Center . . . she says the ages range from toddlers to teens. It all depends on the day.

She suggested that stuffed animals and puzzles are pretty good generic gifts,

Thanks for all the support Guys....I am very touched by the overwhelming support. I know these organizations and especially the kids are gonna be so happy. I never realized how many children really go without toys during the holidays.


All I ask is that if you please pass this thread to any and all webmasters in the area...even if you think they know about it.

Great Cause!

Good cause, I always pick up a gift for a boy and girl for the Happy Tree here.
I've been wanting to get a wish tree together where families write down 1 wish each on stars or bulbs, place it on a tree and another person picks a wish to grant. Not just for kids either, its hard for a parent to look at your child and try to explain why Santa didn't come for mommy.
