Is ibill back to normal yet?

Is IBill back to normal yet? Are they processing signups, doing rebills, NOT lagging?

Thanks.

Wizzo 10-11-2001 11:51 AM

Well, they are processing signups and doing rebills...

quiet 10-11-2001 11:51 AM

They are processing new signups, but the cmi is still fucked. talked to them today - was not impressed.

sexxx 10-11-2001 12:44 PM

Ibill is down again....and has been so from time to time last 4 hours...... ibill won't be in this buisness if this continue much longer.....

I,m sure is sick to death about all this losess they causing me.

Wizzo 10-11-2001 12:49 PM

With the exception of 10min, they have been up all day(taking sign-ups that is)

The back-end is what has been up and down all morning.

sexxx 10-11-2001 12:55 PM

As sonest they open up the CMI , their system gets very very slow, so to be able to take the sales they have to close CMI....Just get of the phone with them.

quiet 10-11-2001 01:04 PM

that's pretty much the story I heard too. I am so sick of this - with the cmi down we can't even help people who forget subscription ids, etc.

Keev 10-11-2001 01:51 PM

They still havent updated stats for 10-10-2001 at least thats from my account i have 10-9-2001 and 10-11-2001 showing but till they update 10-10-2001.

Everything is fine with iBill. So CMI is a little slow right now... who cares, I am sure it will get fixed. iBill is rock solid.

iBill rules, I guess nobody remembers DMR or Sypro.

REMbraNT 10-11-2001 02:11 PM

ok but the whole ibill system is stopped now.
no signups at all

Scarab 10-11-2001 02:12 PM

Hmmmmm... maybe this is part of the problem for the CTC tracking thing? If CTC can't see the signups, they can't log them!

Maybe I was too quick to blame...

What is CMI?

quiet 10-11-2001 02:43 PM

Any old timers remember this? :

---------
January 27, 1998

Dear ibill Client,

As you are likely aware, it is ibill's intention to compensate you for downtime and estimated losses of new sign-ups for January 12, 1998. You will be compensated in the February 1st pay out. Contractually, we are not obligated to reimburse for downtime. This compensation is a good faith gesture on our part to indicate ibill's strength and commitment to our clients and the industry. This compensation will be considered an "adjustment" and will be calculated in the following manner: ibill will look at historical data regarding all new sign-ups (via credit card or web900) during the same time frame and the same day of the week previous to the shutdown. This will not include recurring billing transactions, as all recurring billing customers were billed to date as of January 18th, 1998. In addition we will extend the February 1, 1998 pay-out to a new billing period ending date of 1/17/98 to accommodate the rebill transactions that would normally have been billed prior to January 15th. I hope this will allow you to maintain continuity in your accounting procedures.

Once again, I appreciate your patience and hope for your continued support.

Sincerely

xxx xxxxx

IMPORTANT NEWS!
Dear Clients:

iBill apologizes for the technical difficulties you have experienced over the last several days with our payment processing network. Please rest assured that transactions are still being processed through our system. Our extraordinary growth in 2001 has necessitated earlier than anticipated upgrades to iBill's transaction processing system. As a result, iBill is investing an additional $320,000.00 in hardware and software upgrades to boost the performance of our transaction processing servers. These upgrades have been ordered and are currently being drop shipped for priority one delivery and implementation. Once installed and configured, these upgrades will directly increase performance, availability, and reliability of iBill's processing network. During the month of October, iBill is on schedule to roll out its new state of the art high availability transaction-processing network. This next generation processing engine has just completed certification by a leading independent third party organization that specializes in stress testing computer systems. iBill anticipates that our new systems will increase our capacity by over 250 times iBill's current processing capacity. Additionally, the enhancements to iBill's transaction processing network will benefit our clients by decreasing the possibility of future interruptions of service. Again, iBill apologizes for any inconvenience that this unfortunate situation might have caused our valued clients.

Going forward we will keep you, our valued clients, updated with any future news or issues that may arise

So people can expect excuses for downtime later in the month due to bugs in there new setup.

Incognito 10-12-2001 02:25 AM

According to Ibill - wrong guess.
Just called them.

Told me that CMI might be back today in some hours.

Let's hope so.
