Yep, and silly of Webair to tell you that you need 1tb a month based on a certain number of hits.

:2 cents:

I doubt they said that based on the number of hits.

FYI:

Real players roll with 10mbs or better.

That's pretty accurate if you run a thumb tgp

You can get a FreeBSD or Linux dedicated machine with 1.5TB/month for $199.95 with no setup fees or contract

It takes a little math to get a really good picture of your traffic.

Look at your web access logs. Find out what pages are the most popular and what the file size is of them.

Then, multiply the average of your most popular pages by the number of users that you have.

Then, convert that size to whatever you want - GB/month, Mb/s, etc.

Now you can say, if your site grows by x number of pages, your transfer will increase by n amount.

Also, if you do some marketing and expect to get an extra x number of users to your site, you can do the multiplication again to figure out how much data you expect to push.

A little bit of work in a spreadsheet may help you cut some costs.

Also, a good look at an MRTG graph that correlates with your marketing efforts and updating will give you a good idea of where you're going.

I hope that this helps!

What does it matter if its all FHGS or submitted galleries

page size (including all images) x hits = bandwidth
