What is the difference between dedicated Hosting, Virtual Hosting, Colocation. Who should use what and why? Thanks guys.

Dedicated = They supply a server for you, you are the only one on it
Virtual = their server with many other people on it
Colo= You ship them a server and they hook it up to their lines / rackspace

And dedicated also gives you your own IP address.

Actually, there's alot of Virtual hosts offering that now and Colo usually gets you your own IPs as well...:)

So if I dont have much experience I should probably go with virtual hosting, right?

yeah its cheaper so if youre not expecting to start a huge program virtual is a nice start

most of the times theyve got all kinda stuff preinstalled too no need to start from scratch
