and 3rd party billing

If you are sure that a merchant account is what you need, why don?t you contact Netbilling? They seem to have a very solid track record and good reputation when it comes to merchant accounts and gateway solutions.

I?d suggest you really take your time and learn about merchant accounts before you dive into it though. Merchant accounts can be very complex.

I'm not talking about their rates for high-risk

Looks like they charge 9.50% for low risk mainstream stuff

That's rediculous

I was in contact with netbilling (Karen), and they told me that currently they couldnt help in obtaining a merchant account.

They had some partners though, that might be of help to people having large gross sales.

Besides from that, there´s merchsolutions - but judging from the comments here by users, people has had bad experiences with them (and claims were raised it wasnt actually merchant accounts, but sub accounts to one, that theyre offering). I dont know.

Also, I remember something like "Ox" or something similar billing, but I cant seem to find them now.

Netbilling is the way to go if you are looking for a merchant account. It is not just the merchant account that matters but all of the tools and service behind it.

Good luck on getting any legal info on them.

Here's what I got when I asked for their company info after having rates approved and set by their risk management 'dept' and before sending my legal ID to total strangers:

MY QUESTION TO ECOMMERCEGLOBAL:

1) Your official company info (business name, corporation?, city/country of registration, principals/directors, company background).

2) You had mentioned that your enterprise is a business consortium of sorts which has been active for 7 or eight years - can you provide me with some details.

THEIR REPLY (literally):

We are in receipt of your below email to Mr. Thompon--- and we have conferrd with him regarding your account

While we appreciate and respect your concern for due diligence, we do not feel that your request is commensurate with your monthly volume.

The ?details? you ask for are not a measure of our integrity. Getting paid is.

Enron certainly could have answered your request for ?details?? and so what?

At this time, we do not think eCG is a good fit for you.

However, Mr. Thompon has spoken very highly of you, and asked us to allow you to revisit processing with us in three months.

Please consider this a special invitation, as this is a very rare position we take under these circumstances. We wish you good luck on your processing endeavors and thank you for considering us.

Not only that, but since then, BADDOG has been hounding my butt and trolling across forums with bogus allegations (at the same time stating he has nothing to do with the 'company') whenever I ask the same question you just did.

Is eCommerceGlobal trustworthy? NOT in my opinion.

:2 cents:

Linkpoint is the gateway used by CardService International. It's a gateway only.....If you're processing anything Adult through CSI, it being done under the radar, and it only a matter of time before they notice.

Any More ?

HMS 12-27-2004 12:13 PM

If you are looking for your own merchant account I will soon be able to assist. Humboldt Merchant Services currently processes multi-million dollars per month in adult transactions. We truly desire to bring on more adult accounts, but Visa has put a temporary stop to that. We have reached our "maximum allowable ratio" of adult vs. non adult processing dollars. As our non adult portfolio grows we will again be able to bring on additional adult accounts. We are looking at March/April to be able to do so. If you feel you would be interested I am currently building a list of folks to contact as soon as this opens up. Simply email me your contact info and I will add you to my notification list.

HMS does require the following:
-2 years in business
-currently processing $100K per month (can by 3rd party, direct, or combination of)
-CB's under 1%
-using one of a select few gateways (NETBILLING, Jettis, CyberSource, etc)

If you meet these I can get you the following rates:
Discount Rate (non qualified) 4.6%
Transaction fee $0.30 (including AVS)
Monthly Statement Fee $10.00
High Risk registration / set-up fees $2790

Believe me when I say I would LOVE to bring these accounts on now, but Visa simply will not allow it.

EMAIL ME TO BE NOTIFIED WHEN WE ARE AGAIN ABLE TO OPEN DIRECT ACCOUNTS!
