help appreciated! SP2 auth question
 

hey everyone,

i am trying to load an htaccess protected site in a frames page from another domain.

before all i would have to do is link it to:

http://user:[email protected]/members/

windows service pack 2 changed all that

and it now only works in safari and firefox, if i load it in ie it says "page cannot be displayed"

is there anyone who could help me do what i'm trying to do with possibly some sort of script?

p.s. i know there are other ways to do password management besides htaccess, but unfortunately i cant change anything on the other site

Microsoft disabled this feature (http://user:pass@....) in IE
to enable it you have to change some settings in registry
(I don't remember what exactly)

so back to your question - you can't modify it with any javascript or something like that
