Lost $13,324 on internet gambling in 8 months

Ok, not me, but my stupid ass ex-stepfather. His email confirms come to me since we are friends and he isnt tech friendly. This is sic. He has lost $13K+ on just internet gambling in 8 months. Can I refer him to a new casino and get half of that shit back in the future?

Anyone here own a casino? I looked into it two years ago and it was $50k for software that didnt even allow multiplayer poker. It cant be a great success without hold'em.

wes 12-14-2004 11:25 PM

Yup, hold em has been on the uprise and will continue to become more and more popular.

TNALee 12-14-2004 11:27 PM

yeah ive been looking to get some casino affilates, big money in that

hydro 12-14-2004 11:31 PM

im launching a casino affiliate program in the summer :thumbsup for now though send him to some of the bigger online casinos like goldan palace or windows casino. Most of the bigger ones will use real vegas odds so they don't generate a bunch of heat but the smaller ones tend to just screw you over.

xclusive 12-14-2004 11:33 PM

First of all i would evaluate wether he needs help or not then why not get a piece of the action...

Platinumpimp 12-14-2004 11:35 PM

These casino's have cpu characters around the table. Sometimes it's so obvious. :2 cents:

burntout21 12-14-2004 11:37 PM

multiplayer online gambling is the wave of the future, i think alot of the real vegas casinos have online casino in development right now.

its already here. its the only way to go. So are referrals 50% of the months loss or what ?

KRL 12-14-2004 11:49 PM

We looked into opening one but there are a lot of legal issues that you have to be really careful with.

After reviewing all the bs and hoops you've got to go through, it looked like one big headache so I passed on it.

iFliPcEss 12-14-2004 11:51 PM

wow $13,300 is a big money geez

TNALee 12-14-2004 11:53 PM

imagine the rev share on that

QuaWee 12-14-2004 11:54 PM

i dont understand how people get addicted to losing money. i use to be addictive to video games in middle school but i was a loner than. i guess gambling is a way people deal with hardships

Exactly why I don't gamble.

No gambler is a winner in the long run. :2 cents:

Well, poker in the casino on a table is usually honest. Who is gonna check the software or programs that run to "collect" from others in an unfair way? :glugglug

Normal revshare usually starts around 20-25% of net player losses and will extend up to 50% on very high volume. Some programs give you the choice of a being paid a flat fee per initial player deposit usually around $50. I'm not really up on the best casino affiliate programs but a couple years ago when I was promoting them www.referback.com was always one of the best. 4 years ago I had a co branded online casino where I used my domain and logo and the casino's backend. I've been out of the loop for a while so I'm not sure who out there offers something like this now.

I lost $2500 this past Sunday, on the Eagles game.

It's very reasonable/ordinary for people to lose $13k over the duration of time. I don't think your stepfather has a problem. I mean, we all lose. I know this, yet I still choose to gamble. For most, it's an itch that needs to be scratched ever few weeks. Plus the thrill of winning overrides/supercedes all past losses*.

*This only applies in moderation. If you lose your house, your kids, your wife - etc, to gambling, you've a huge fucking problem. But if you're financially stable? Dropping a thousand here and there is not very significant. Anyone who says it is a big deal, is 'financially biased'. Meaning - they don't have that disposable six-seven figure cushion, whereas losing a G or two is justifable. But to those with money? It's a small cost for priceless entertainment/excitement.

Maybe Daddy needs a new hobby/habit, like maybe donating revenue and input in your new business ventures, or would that just not be natural? One never knows what might actually happen....after all, he IS a stepfather!
